Thermal reliability-based design optimization using Kriging model of PCM based pin fin heat sink

چکیده
This paper deals with the thermal reliability optimization of a pin fin heat sink (HS) filled phase change material (PCM) in order to study transfer performance for cooling electronic devices. Aluminium is taken carry out constant volume fraction 9% by choosing 72 fins. Paraffin wax used as PCM inside retain produced device. A reliability-based design (RBDO) addressed determine optimum configuration that satisfies desired reliability. The presented methodology summarized combination 3D finite element simulation (FES), Kriging substitution model and procedure. surrogate built validated using two metrics such error predictions cross validation (CV). comparison number training points shows predictor 100 Latin hypercube sampling (LHS) provides better approximation original model. Thermal results show time latent heating optimal higher than obtained baseline With optimization, maximum temperature was reduced 30%.
